FAQ
Express Entry questions
Do I need a job offer?
No. A job offer is not required for Federal Skilled Worker, although a provincial nomination or Canadian experience improves your chances considerably.
How long does Express Entry take?
Profiles stay in the pool for up to 12 months. After an invitation, IRCC aims to process complete applications within about six months.
How much money do I need to show?
IRCC publishes a settlement-funds table that changes every year and depends on family size. We confirm the current figure before you apply.
Can my family come with me?
Yes. Your spouse and dependent children are included in the same application and receive permanent residence with you.
